With over 20 years of dedicated experience in private and home school education, Mrs. Zonda Thorpe is a cherished member of the FCA community, where she has been inspiring young minds as our Kindergarten teacher for the past decade. Zonda’s passion for working with children is a true testament to her God-given talents, and her commitment to nurturing their growth is evident in everything she does.
Married for 25 years, Zonda is a proud mother of four adult children and a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren. She also enjoys the company of her beloved fur baby. Outside of her professional life, Zonda treasures family time, engages in spirited games of spades, dives into captivating books, and relaxes with good movies.
Zonda firmly believes that every child is wonderfully unique and deserves a nurturing, uplifting, and stimulating environment to foster their emotional, intellectual, and social development. Her goal as an educator is to support students in reaching their full potential within a secure Christian setting.
At FCA, Zonda brings a wealth of experience from the younger elementary grades and a special passion for teaching children to read. She delights in helping her students master the phonetic building blocks essential for excellent reading fluency. Her enthusiasm for guiding young learners through these foundational skills is a cornerstone of her teaching philosophy.
