Welcome to the exciting world of science with Alisa Cornetto! Her enthusiasm for science is matched by her dedication to exploring the wonders of God’s creation and inspiring curiosity in her students.
Alisa’s educational background is as impressive as it is diverse. She began her studies at Guilford Community College, earning an Associate Degree in Nursing, and went on to complete her Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing at Elon University. Her expertise is further highlighted by several certifications, including Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, Certified Case Manager, Medicare Set Aside Certified Consultant, and Certified Life Care Planner.
Her academic achievements are complemented by notable contributions to scientific research. Alisa has participated in two UNC-published studies and has presented on health, safety, and risk management topics at local, national, and international conferences. Her passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom, as she has directed and taught various ministries, including children, youth, and adults. Notably, she has served as a guest lecturer at UNC School of Medicine, sharing her knowledge with future medical professionals.
Outside of her professional life, Alisa enjoys spending time with her family. She’s been happily married to Larry, affectionately known as Papa or the Café Man, for many years. Together, they have two daughters and seven grandchildren, who lovingly call her Hunny.
