Ben Phelps joined FCA this year as the Director of Basketball. Within this role, he will be helping grow the basketball program behind the scenes. Some of these roles include skill development for the current team during the school day or before school, making the schedule competitive, and helping execute the long term vision of pursuing excellence.
Ben played four years of collegiate basketball at Covenant College from 2013–2017. Following his playing career, he has spent more than 10 years coaching and training athletes ranging from youth players to professionals.
Throughout his coaching career, Ben has worked with players at every level of the game, helping athletes develop their skills, basketball IQ, and confidence. His training experience includes current and former high-level collegiate and professional players, including:

He also assisted 29 players reach their goal of going from high school to college between 2019-2023 (NCAA D1-3, JUCO, and NAIA). Many of whom were clients of 5+ years.
Ben’s passion is helping players maximize their potential through skill development, game-specific training, and mentorship. Whether working with beginners or elite athletes, his goal is to build fundamentally sound, confident players who are prepared to succeed at the next level.
