With more than 30 years of experience in education, Linda Cottier has a passion for teaching and a heart for students of all ages and backgrounds. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater; a master’s in Elementary Education from Adams State College; and certifications in Curriculum, Instruction, and Principalship.
Throughout her career, Linda has served in diverse roles, from early childhood to high school education, including bilingual and ESL instruction, adult education, and school leadership. She has taught internationally, helped launch an ESL high school program for students with limited prior schooling, and served as principal at a Christian inner-city school.
After retiring from full-time education, Linda and her husband adopted two young girls and homeschooled them through graduation. Their blended family now includes nine children and 21 grandchildren. Now living in North Carolina and with her husband nearing retirement, Linda feels a renewed calling to return to the classroom. She is thrilled to continue her journey in education at Faith Christian Academy, where she can pour her experience and love for teaching into the next generation.
